Reading with interval-timed 35mm slide projection, HD video, sculpture, 2015

A performance using voice, interval-timed slide projection and laptop screen recordings to distort etymologies, amongst an indexing of text written for collected images and photographed observations. The reading was dictated by the slide projector, which showed 53 slides for 15 seconds each. A large part of the reading focussed on Ringinglow in Sheffield; a point of historical significance as border country, between the Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms of Northumbria and Mercia, and personal resonance as the area where my mother grew up.
